I had a great time yesterday playing bike polo for the first time at the Adelaide Cyclists meet-up with the Adelaide Bicycle Polo Club.

The idea is the houses in the village can hire there bikes from a pool to use to side to the shops etc. They are distributued by Urban Mover.
Pittsburgh’s 5th Annual BikeFest Aug 14-23
Pittsburgh’s 5th annual BikeFest starts in just a few days, running August 14-23. It all begins with a kickoff party on the evening of the 14th which tends to be one of the parties people in town talk about all year. Held at the Pittsburgh Opera House this year, this is a significant fundraiser for BikePGH’s advocacy efforts and promises to be good time, with a number of local cycling groups having a presence. The rest of the dates are filled with rides, races and bike gatherings all over town. Whether you’re looking for an easy-going tour of the local murals, a look at forgotten greenspace or fast-paced crit and alleycat racing there is something on the calendar for you.
